“Fraiche” was a fictitious film made in 1980 by an eccentric French art house director obsessed with American pop culture, though never having been to the United States. All he had was the music and images from magazines, American film, and MTV and was determined to capture the “freshness” of everything that was the U.S. “cool.”
The film fell into obscurity and went long unseen...
